Dr. Thomas Shane, M.D. is the founder of Shane Retina (Formerly Retina Care Consultants) and an experienced ophthalmologist serving the Sarasota, Florida community. He is dedicated to providing high-quality eye care to his patients and has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions and eye diseases. As an ophthalmologist and retinal specialist, Dr. Shane is primarily focused on conditions that affect the retina, such as macular degeneration, eye floaters and flashes and retinal detachment. He also routinely treats macular holes, dislocated lenses, macular pucker, retinal artery occlusion, macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion using a variety of surgical and non-surgical techniques.
